Who we are
This website is run by Adopto Systems Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17567483). Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. What information we collect
When you contact us: your name, email address and anything you include in your message, such as your business name and what you would like help with.
When you become a client: your contact details, the information we need to carry out the work you have asked for, and billing details.
When you visit this website: technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Non-essential cookies are only set if you agree to them through our cookie banner.
How we use your information and our lawful basis
To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call, because you asked us to (steps before entering into a contract) or because it is in our legitimate interests to respond to people who contact us.
To provide our services and manage our relationship with you, as part of our contract with you.
To keep accounting and tax records, because the law requires us to.
To understand how our website is used and improve it, with your consent, which you give through our cookie banner.
We do not sell your information. We will not send you marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run our business, including Squarespace (website and contact forms), Microsoft (business email) and our accountants. They may only use your information to provide their services to us. Some of these providers store or process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law are in place.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to any work: up to 2 years from our last contact.
Client and billing records: 6 years after the end of the financial year in which our work for you ended, to meet legal and tax requirements.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask for it to be transferred to you or another organisation, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email hello@adoptosystems.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
